Run by Terry Melanson, Conspiracy Archive is intended for research on conspiracy, secret societies, and alternative history. The web site is like a course in conspiracy research. Terry writes some of the commentary articles along with a staff of regular contributors, including Paul and Phillip D. Collins, Barry Chamish, Mark Owen, Erik Fortman, Joseph E. Fasciani, Jim Kirwan, and D’arcLyte.

Terry was kind enough to answer some questions designed to illuminate us on some continuing themes we’ve encountered in our recent studies.

How would you characterize the Freemasons that apparently rebelled from the British Empire to found the United States? Specific historical incidents that occurred later seem to indicate that this may have been a true rebellion (War of 1812, Jackson vs. Central Banksters, Civil War, Jekyll Island, etc.) that had to be brought back into "the fold" later on, so to speak. What does your research indicate?

Freemasonry enabled the American Revolution just as it did for France. The ideology espoused within the American Lodges was of the same character found within the lodges of France. Both the American and the French lodges were hotbeds for subversion and had a decidedly revolutionary flavour. Many freemasons from America held dual membership within the lodges of France, and vice versa. Other than an official charter from England for the privilege of instituting a lodge, American masons were hostile toward England, including their English Masonic brethren.

Since the death of Cecil Rhodes and the subsequent creation of the English/American Round Table groups, the conspiracy by the elite seems to have consolidated its interests. The Pilgrims Society is a perfect example. This group is perhaps the highest echelon; the directorate of organizations such as the Milner Group, RIIA, CFR, the Trilateral Commission and the Bilderbergs. Along those same lines, we continually hear of an "infiltration" by a dark, occult brotherhood (if not the Illuminati itself) of Freemasonry in the late 18th century. Was this a real takeover? An official merger? Just theatre? Or some combination?

Freemasonry was infiltrated by a myriad of different beliefs during the "age of enlightenment." Templarism was the first corrupter. As early as the 1730s, Masonic scholars were theorizing that masonry stemmed directly from the Knights Templar. The theory persisted with increasing elaboration until an order within Freemasonry was created to officially propagate the doctrine: the Strict Observance. This attracted a large number of aristocrats who naturally thought it only proper that masonry claim lineage from a knightly order. However, pomp and pageantry concealed a more sinister secret. Besides the single vow swearing absolute obedience to "unknown superiors," by 1755 the Strict Observance proposed the takeover of orphanages (for financial gain), the founding of military academies (for control of the noble class), and infiltration of the government. Members were sworn to uphold these principles. The famous Masonic Conference at Wilhelmsbad in 1782 was convoked to either banish the teaching outright, or confirm and adopt its principles. The former was the final decision. Bavarian Illuminati agents were present at the gathering and quickly snatched up the rebuked members of Strict Observance for their own Order – the marrying of two revolutionary societies. The Illuminati's membership increased significantly from the ranks of, the now forbidden, Strict Observance.

The Bavarian Illuminati did indeed succeed in a "real takeover." They were a parasitic blight on a large number of Masonic lodges throughout the whole of the Holy Roman Empire, and controlled initiates as well as resources and finances. Amongst themselves, the Areopagites of the Illuminati would laugh about it. Freemasonry was essentially a dupe - used as a tool - and the organization is still sore about it today. After 1787, most of the Masonic lodges controlled by the Illuminati in Bavaria were shut down. It's the lodges in other territories that we're not sure about. Despite assertions by scholars, a total de-illuminization of Freemasonry has never been proven to have occurred. I don't think we'll ever know for sure – we are dealing with "secret" societies after all.

Rosicrucianism, Hermeticism, Gnosticism, Kabbalism, Sabbatianism, Alchemy, Mesmerism, Necromancy, and Ritualized Magic were all introduced into the corrupt system of lodges on the European continent during the Enlightenment. Vienna was a particular hotbed of activity, with an estimated 10,000 practicing alchemists. The age of reason could've just as easily been dubbed the age of superstition.

What is your opinion of seeking "enlightenment," or consciousness expansion, in terms of Luciferian doctrine? Is it possible to seek enlightenment and not be engaging in a Luciferian practice at some level? Am I simply misunderstanding the concept of Luciferianism?

I indulged in the occult (ala Castaneda, Gurdjieff and Ouspensky) in the early 90s when I should have known better. Consciousness expansion techniques, in my experience, are a cleverly disguised ruse for spiritual control.

It's been said many times before: it is a spiritual battle. The occult techniques proscribed to initiates for contact with either their "higher self" or some otherworldly entity is a recipe for spiritual enslavement. Alice Bailey is a shining example. She claimed to have channeled messages from a deceased Tibetan master, Djwhal Khul, for 30 years. The overshadowing, she called it – a euphemism for possession.

Ask yourself this: why is it that, whenever given the chance, the messages received through occult means - even those received by the so-called UFO contactees - invariably contradict the teachings of Christ? An awful lot of energy is expended just to proselytize a purely Luciferian doctrine (we shall become as gods), contradict the Word of God, and convince the channeler of the erroneousness of the Bible.

Throughout the study of modern conspiracies, it seems that there is not only an occult connection through the persons of the conspirators, but that the event itself holds great occult significance. The JFK assassination and 9/11 are but two of many that immediately come to mind. Do you believe there is an occult purpose to these conspiracies, and if so, what is that hidden purpose? Is it just magickal practice through a societal "mega-ritual"?

Both those seminal events you've cited were aided and abetted, to one degree or another, by individuals working within the intelligence apparatus. It's no secret that the CIA and other such agencies have always been interested in the occult. The Temple of Set, an offshoot of the Church of Satan, had access to military intelligence through its founder Lt. Col. Michael Aquino. He recruited a number of spooks to his cause, had top secret Pentagon clearance, and worked in the psychological warfare division. James Shelby Downard has described a "Sirius-worship cult" with adherents in the highest levels of the CIA. Apparently, rituals take place "at the Palomar Observatory under the telescopically focused light of Sirius, bathing its participants in luminance of the majestic Dog-Star." (Quoted by Adam Gorightly, in Ritual Magic, Mind Control and the UFO Phenomenon) And, of course, there's the official secret programs instituted by the CIA and military intelligence. The outright practicing of the occult became a government-sponsored activity, culminating in Lt. Col. Jim Channon's First Earth Battalion.

The power elite have always been preoccupied with the occult. This being the case, esoteric communication - symbolism, semiotics, astrology, cypher or numerology - must, on some level, inevitably occur. Chasing after symbols and patterns is not very productive though, as the rabbit-hole extends pretty deep. On the other hand, magickal rituals to effect change on a large scale probably does occur. Nonetheless, theories which postulate the discovery of hidden meanings behind recent events have to produce results or it's meaningless. I'll start paying attention when somebody accomplishes the feat of predictability.

Many secret societies and occult organizations claim that their power and guidance derives from otherworldly, or non-human, entities. Do you believe this to be true, or another control technique?

The concept of Hidden Masters or Unknown Superiors has been used for purposes of control by secret societies for thousands of years. If the initiates aren't sure who's directing them from above, this is a perfect system to keep everyone in check. An extension of this is that the real masters aren't humans at all but beings from without, guiding the purpose and will of the whole. Rosicrucianism and Theosophy has had great success through the implementation of such a notion. The only thing significant is that they - the initiates or dupes - believe it to be so.

Is it more important to focus on improving one's inner self or the outer political environment, or some combination? After many years of studying politics and now the occult and the origins of humanity, it seems that focusing inward might have much more potential for actually changing both the inner and outer worlds. What is your opinion of this view?

Besides your own work, what other books or authors would you recommend as your favourites on the topics of the occult, secret societies, and conspiracy?

For what you're investigating, one would be exceedingly remiss not having familiarity with the works of James Webb. The Occult Underground and The Occult Establishment are required reading. Webb's two-volume scholarly survey spans the entire history of the occult in the modern age; from the enlightenment up to the counter culture of the 1960s.

The Kabbalah is integral to the teachings of Western occultism, thus the works of Gershom Scholem are essential. He was the world's authority on Jewish mysticism. In particular, most of what we know today about the antinomian sects of Sabbatai Zevi and Jacob Frank is due to the meticulous research of Scholem. Sabbataian and Frankist occult undercurrents are the most pernicious. The teachings of these pseudo-messiahs represent a complete reversal of values: religious nihilism, ritualistic sexual practices, and sin for sin's sake. According to Arthur Mandel: "Everything is permitted, lies, deceit, adultery ('there is no such thing in heaven'), all moral concepts reversed, and truth turned into absurdity. Interrogated by a rabbinical court, some Frankists admitted to having had sexual intercourse with married women in the presence and with permission of their husbands, while others confessed to incestuous intercourse. Championing this, even before Frank's arrival in Poland, was the family of the rabbi of Rohatyn, Elisha Schorr, whose daughter Hanna, a kind of Frankist priestess, uttered in sexual rapture whole passages of the Zohar, the Cabbalistic bible." (The Militant Messiah, or, The Flight from the Ghetto: The Story of Jacob Frank and the Frankist Movement, p. 39)

The opportunity has presented itself so I'm going to let you in on a theory of mine. Interesting to consider in this light is the movie Eyes Wide Shut.

The scene involving the members of a secret society taking part in a ritualistic orgy, I believe, is a direct node to Frankist occultism. Scholem documents the sect's survival (including its Doenmeh offshoot) into the 1800s and possibly as late as the middle of the 20th century. The trail goes cold at this point. However, many of the Jews who immigrated abroad during the 19th century, and into the early 20^th, came from Frankist strongholds in Poland, Moravia, and Bohemia. Stanley Kubrick is a direct

descendant of Jews who came from this region, and at the right point in history. Now this is pure speculation, but perhaps he was recounting a tale passed on through the family (only whispered about).

In any case, the famous scene in that movie bears a remarkable resemblance to what is described as taking place at a Frankist orgiastic ritual. Moreover, a later scene in which the "Grand Master" of the sect is interrogating Tom Cruise – the leader is seated in a chair, or throne, bearing the mark of the Hapsburg Holy Roman Empire: the double-headed eagle.

Eyes Wide Shut

This is a revealing clue for the fact that Jacob Frank was a favorite of Empress Maria Theresa. The Frankist sect subsequently became indebted to the Austrian Empire and received patronage from the imperial family. Jacob Frank's successor and cousin, Moses Dobruschka (aka Baron Franz Thomas von Schoenfeld; aka Junius Frey), would go on to join the Jacobin club during the French Revolution - possibly as a spy for the Hapsburgs. Known to his Jacobin compatriots as Junius Frey, Dobruschka was arrested on this very charge and subsequently guillotined along with his brother Emmanuel Frey, on 5 April, 1794.

Charles William Heckethorn's Secret Societies of All Ages and Countries, is a valuable work. It's been out of print for years and nearly forgotten. Kessinger Publishing has made it accessible again. A massive study; most definitely the greatest encyclopedic reference of secret societies ever published.

Giordano Bruno and the Hermetic Tradition

Frances A. Yates

Frances Yates' studies on Renaissance occultism are highly recommended: The Rosicrucian Enlightenment; Giordano Bruno and the Hermetic Tradition; and the Theatre of the World.

The Occult Philosophy in the Elizabethan Age

The works of Nesta Webster are compulsory. Certain biases are obvious; however, her research can be the foundation (and frequently has) for further study into all aspects occultism and the socio-political manipulation of society by its adherents. Secret Societies & Subversive Movements spans 2000 years of the occult underground; World Revolution: The Plot Against Civilization concentrates more on revolutionary societies, from Illuminism to Bolshevism. Webster revised and expanded World Revolution just before her death; therefore the 6th revised edition from the 1960s is the one to get.

Fire in the Minds of Men

James Billington

Unmatched in the area of revolutionary movements is James H. Billington. Fire in the Minds of Men: Origins of the Revolutionary Faith is a work of great importance. Of all the books currently in my collection, Fire in the Minds is the most underlined and scribbled in. Much ink is devoted to the occult aspects of the revolutionaries, which is refreshing coming from such a scholarly, academic work. His book (actually a masterpiece) is a natural companion to those penned by Nesta Webster - though Billington would certainly cringe at such a suggestion.

The Ascendancy of the Scientific Dictatorship

Paul & Phillip Collins

More recently, I like Peter Levenda's books. I'd recommend anything and everything by Jacques Vallee. Philip and Paul Collins' The Ascendancy of the Scientific Dictatorship is incredible (See my review, here. Perhaps I should have disclosed the fact that they write for my site. Featured at my site or not I'd still be a fan of the Collins brothers, and it wouldn't change the fact that they are extremely important authors.)

For conspiracy, it's hard to find someone that is factual and precise to the utmost degree, and manages to come across with integrity. The best recommendation I can give is the works of Antony C. Sutton. To read and digest the literature of Sutton is to earn a doctorate in conspiracy and the true nature of elitism.

Apotheosis - Up Close & Personal

Alchemically Braindamaged is a blog and podcast created by Zacharius, "a Buddhist monk, an aspiring ninja, a magican, occult scholar, medical massage therapist, sometime writer, and oft times podcaster." His work is a very real, personal, and tangible practice. The podcast serves as a direct, albeit one-way, communication with Zac as the magi, shaman, occultist, or sometimes simply a voice in your ear. It is quite interesting to have a window into his trasmutational process and inner thoughts on a continued regular basis. Not only does it serve as a record of this process, but can be used in a guide-like manner. Do you understand what I'm trying to say?

In an age of widespread disconnection, Zac, with Alchemically Braindamaged, uses the internet to connect to his listeners. If you have curiosity about the occult, alchemy, transmutation, transcendence, shamanism, yogic practices, insight meditation, etc. - this is where the rubber meets the road, so to speak. Research only takes one so far. Practice, and understanding what that involves, is truly where these concepts make it... or break it.

Zac was kind enough to address some rather wide-ranging questions that arose after listening to him for some time. His answers are presented here in a familiar format, so as not to put any interpretation (read: spin) on his words. I hope you appreciate his work, ideas, and generosity in letting us all into his world, in an age when so many are prone to only to concealment and misdirection.

What is your response to those who claim that apotheosis and all related endeavours are a Luciferian practice, whether the seeker is fully aware of this doctrine, or totally unwitting?

It depends what is meant when the term 'Luciferianism' is used. These days it tends to be used by the likes of Alex Jones and hysterical Christians to condemn the New World Order and whatnot, which seems a bit of a sloppy blanket heading to me.

When I use it, and the way I like to see it used, is closer to the way Rudolph Steiner would talk about it. A 'Luciferian' in this sense is one who is concerned with an ascent into a 'false heaven' of sorts. This false heaven is a product of mastery of various kinds of energy rather than true spiritual realisation.

The idea that there is an escape into some other kind of created reality full of accentuated delights is considered fairly degenerate by most legitimate spiritual traditions. The goal is to realise the spirit in this world, this moment, in your current circumstances, not to flee into your head, or virtual reality or the psychic realm of the ascended masters or whatever.

From that perspective the idea of apotheosis can be a distraction or a wrong turn surely, but only if you treat it as a means to remake the world into your image, or flee into a false heaven of your own making, rather than understand it as an actualisation of one's capacities for love, and service to others. I think those two goals are what everyone truly desires anyway and have every confidence they will discover that for themselves if given enough time.

My feeling is that in our current historical predicament, the main obstacle to a lot of people realising themselves spiritually is a sense of powerless victimhood. In that state there will be all kinds of unhealthy projections of how to aquire and use ones skills and power. My hope is to first help people take back a sense of agency in their own lives, and then to use their growing powers to open out into the world, rather than take the wrong turn into egotistic flights of fantasy.

What is the relationship between the ideas of western occultism and eastern philosophy (particularly Taoism and Buddhism)?

That's a vast question. At this point in history you could find just about anything that used to be characteristic to the east in the west and vice versa.

If anything , I think western occultism has a more developed sense of how to use symbolism than much of what exists in the east. Much of it purely concealment from Church prosecution, but it also forms a kind depth psychology system that the east seems to lack in large part. The symbolic languages of persons such as Jung or Freud, or Crowley, and the hypnotic technologies that spring out of western psychology are probably our best 'magick'. I've recent become more cognisant of the intellectual 'yoga' of the original Platonists, and how it feeds into the western occult tradition, and am looking farther into that as we speak.

In the east you have the yogic paths for meditation and inner alchemy developed to an exquisite level, with the Taoist traditions alongside embodying a kind of folk magic, shamanic tradition with a huge, unbroken legacy. You could look farther than yoga or Buddhism for clear meditation technology, but why bother?

In the ultimate sense east and west both spring out of archaic shamanism, and are concerned with the same things, the same human spiritual and survival imperitives. Someone like Ken Wilber elucidates this in many ways with great clarity.

What do you recommend as a way to retain the concept of universal unity while seeking enlightenment? Although not exclusive, for many it seems these things are hard to keep in balance. What are your thoughts?

I see them as one and the same. In the history of Buddhism there is a bit of sectarian strife that arose when certain factions said that questing exclusively for enlightenment was selfish, and ignored the needs of the people around you, which in part was true at the time, as the monks had become very insular and their practice rather state and neutered. This led to the great reform of the Mahayanna which most people think of as Buddhism.

But what gets overlooked is that the old methods did work, and the old ways as the Buddha taught them were not isolationist, but outward looking and involved in the community. What is usually needed in cases like that is not a reaction, but a revival. But alas, human psychology tends not to work that way.

The bottom line is, if you want to give, you need to have achieved something to share. Seeking enlightenment for 'yourself' is probably slightly misdirected and contradictory.

Do you recommend study of alchemy as part of a hierarchical group? It seems that many view this as the most likely route to what they seek. Would you care to comment?

If someone wanted my recommendations, then I'd say yeah, concentrate on your own inner cultivation first and foremost (keeping in mind that when I say 'alchemy' I mean any form of spiritual culitvation of one's inner self).

But I'm well aware that doesn't always get people excited, so I'm perfectly willing to let people play around with exotic rituals, siddha powers, sigil magick or whatever, until they get bored, frustrated or burnt out. The path isn't going anywhere. I think that point of exhaustion is coming in many parts of the online occult world. I'm happy to be able to help steer people in a useful direction.

Do you conceptualize the transmutations you are attempting to achieve before you begin the process (i.e. your recent Augoeides series)?

To an extent, sure, but you have to be willing to let go of it when the time comes. I have all kinds of fanciful notions, just like anyone else, and it's good to exercise the imagination. You need a clear picture to have a clear intent, at least at first.

But as I've said in other places; The world isn't made out of pictures and words... it's better to build a relationship with reality.

As you've read, Zac is quite thoughtful and well-versed in these spiritual concepts, their pitfalls, and how they might apply to everyday life. I find it rare to encounter someone who is not only learned about the occult and spirituality from many different perspectives, but puts this knowledge into practice on a daily basis. Now, perhaps there are people like this all around me and I don't know it, but Zac goes out of his way to share his thoughts and experiences, and that is rather refreshing.

"The philosophers of Greece and Egypt divided the life of the sun during the year into four parts; therefore they symbolized the Solar Man by four different figures. When He was born in the winter solstice, the Sun God was symbolized as a dependent infant who in some mysterious manner had managed to escape the Powers of Darkness seeking to destroy Him while He was still in the cradle of winter. At the autumnal equinox, the sun was pictured as an aged man, shuffling along with bended back and whitened locks into the oblivion of winter darkness. Thus, twelve months were assigned to the sun as the length of its life. During this period it circled the twelve signs of the zodiac in a magnificent triumphal march. When fall came, it entered, like Samson, into the house of Delilah (Virgo), where its rays were cut off and it lost its strength. In Masonry, the cruel winter months are symbolized by three murderers who sought to destroy the God of Light and Truth.

Red Ice - The Interview

The Red Ice Creations web site and radio show is created by brothers Fredrik and Henrik Palmgren. The show broadcasts worldwide over the internet from the west coast of Sweden.

Henrik and Fredrik were kind enough to spend their time and energy answering some questions about their web site, radio show, and influences. Thanks again to Fredrik and Henrik for the interview and Red Ice Creations!

Without further ado...

I was wondering - what is the story behind how Red Ice Creations began?

Henrik: Red-Ice.net as the site was called from the beginning, started as an art project about 5 Years ago. It was intended to be a music/graphics site, like an online resource center for myself and a friend who started the site. Back then, early 2002, I started to read a lot of "alternative news" about 9/11 and about the same time I also stumbled on some information about the Mayan Calendar.

The site became a place where I gathered the most interesting articles I came across, pretty simple stuff. It wasn't until late 2003 that the site started to look somewhat similar in design to how it looks today. I've been interested in a lot of different topics long before I started the site - so it was never a really huge leap in any direction during this process - things just slowly moved in this direction and the site evolved up to the point where it's at today. There is a long story here and the site has changed many times over the 5 somewhat years that it has been online. I have tried to maintain faithful to the original idea of keeping much graphics on the site and try to have an eye for the design when I develop the site.

Fredrik: This is Henriks project from the start, he has done an amazing job getting the mix of news and site content going, all the design. I'm just glad to be a part of the the new site - thanks Henrik -

How long have you been interested in these topics? Is there anything in particular that sparked that interest?

H: As far back as I can remember I've been interested in mysteries, ancient civilizations, Atlantis, cryptozoology, space, UFO's, aliens, new technology and conspiracy. But I think it was really after 9/11 and when I first started reading about the Mayan calendar, as I mentioned above, that it all really took off. Looking back on it now, it seems like 9/11 was a wake up call for many people, on many different levels, that's pretty interesting in itself. And I think it adds even more "mystery" and dimension to the events that day.

At some point during this process I also realized that this is incredibly important stuff. It started as an interest… as a fascination, but the deeper into some of these subjects you get; you realize how important it all is. You realize how important it is for us to wake up if we are to survive the years ahead. So at this point, as most will understand, this is so much more than a "hobby" or something you do to "pass the time", as some people not yet "into it" seem to think.

F: Not that long, early 2000 I got a spiritual kick-start of sorts and really started to open my eyes and when 2001 09 11 arrived it was no turning back, a few months later I was glued to radio programs like Rense, Alex Jones, Unknowncountry, and looking at every possible "Alternative documentary" I could get my hands on. A crash course to get up to speed I guess.

How much of your time is devoted to Red Ice? Is it a full time job, as I suspect, or do you have other occupations?

H: Much time is being spent on redicecreations.com - even if all of it isn't "hands on" work with the site. A lot of stuff goes on "behind the scenes", like researching different people for the radio show and just sifting thru a lot of information. There is so much to do - but there just isn't time for it all. At this point the work is a very dynamic process and I try to go with the flow as much as possible - it has worked very well so far. Sometimes the news are a bit slow, and you'll be able to work on other areas… but mostly there's so much crazy, important and interesting stuff going on that there's just isn't time to get to it all.

Other than Red Ice Creations I have two extra jobs at the moment to be able to pay the bills. One is with audio & video installation and exhibitions, conferences and events. I also work extra as a technician at a local theater where I mostly do the sound during concerts and sometimes I handle the light during theaters and such.

Our move towards having subscriptions on the site is an effort to being able to spend even more time with the site. I hope we'll be able to provide more video/film content on the site soon also. We have lots of plans and I think both Fredrik and I have the intention to integrate our interest in making music, art, graphics and film/video into the site. At the moment it's mainly a question of prioritizing in regards to the time.

F: Yes pretty much, We are also trying to get some movie/film and music projects going.

As a Swedish resident, how would you describe your perspective on world political events? How do you view the EU?

H: Difficult question, I'd say that my perspective isn't different from anyone else who also have chosen to pull the plug on the main stream media (mainly television). I watch the international news more than I watch the local and generally it feels like people don't have the time, interest or the "pattern recognition" ability that is necessary to comprehend what's really going on in the world.

But it's on multiple levels and maybe that's why some people are having such a difficulty to understand it all. The political world scene is scripted like a bad movie …really incoherent - and I guess that's why people are having such a hard time to keep up with it …because it's all nonsense (that happens when you try to over analyze a bad movie script too). That's how I view it at this point anyway! It's designed to confuse you and make the impression that there are real "political struggles" going on in the world (and in some instances that's probably true, at least on the local levels - because of all the ambitious but low level politicians out there). When I changed my perspective and started looking at it like it's all designed to keep us occupied, and the real "movers and shakers" of the game are slowly advancing the agenda from behind the scenes, it all started to make sense. There really "brilliant" stuff is going on the subtle levels. It's an art - how to conduct society and people. There's so much more to say about this.

In regards to the EU, it seems to be setup to be the new power center for ruling the entire world. I read somewhere a while back that they keep seat number 666 in the European parliament unoccupied. I guess they keep that seat reserved for someone. Who knows if that's really true, we simply have to get a hold of the poor schmuck who got seat 665 or 667 in the EU parliament and ask. Then to further spur things they had this pretty interesting ad for the EU a while back that said "Europe: many tongues, one voice". I guess that's why they have built the EU Parliament in Strasbourg after that famous painting of the tower of Babylon by Pieter Brueghel that was done way back in 1563, so that probably reflect the mentality that's behind EU.

To me it's obviously an effort to rebuild what once was known as the Holy Roman Empire. But I'm not against a unified Europe, much less a unified world. I just don't like the centralizations of power that is involved in this process and the guys who pull the strings seem to be up to no good. It seems to be all about control and domination, and I don't want that! We need more people who can trust each other, and we need less paranoid-psychotic leaders - only interested in guarding their tiny dominion of power.

F: I observe the madness from a distance and the same goes for the EU. I am positive that we humans will find a way to work together globally, but Politics and systems like the EU is not it. When humans start to wake up they will know what personal responsibility means, it comes natural and it dissolves all hunger for leaders. People will understand how to communicate again and this will help to find and implement solutions. Institutions like politics (if I can call it that) mirrors the population and right now vast groups of humans are manipulated to give their power away, thus we will find the must unsuitable people in the top positions. The puppet show of today's world political events is pure black *magic. We will do all we can to expose this, and without fear in our hearts.

* Magic (to me) very simplified, is all the parts of this experience that is unseen, other words to describe magic could be, miracles, mysteries, the occult so on and so on. At least to me it's NOT a mystery or something to be afraid of, but as with everything here on earth we have to be conscious of what we are doing, understand what we are doing. Some of these magical practices may hurt ourselves and our neighbour, so do we take personal responsibility for this? (do we stop hurting others for personal gain) What "Black" magic is to me, is entities without soul basically, playing around with this kind of stuff. They don't stop it's up to us to say NO. But again, there is no need to feed these soulless entities energy, that's what they need to survive having no soul, so all the fear and hatred we focus on goes right into such a creature, it basically hinder these creatures to evolve. - EVOLve - we need to turn this world around - (we) LOVE -

Would you say that you learn as much as your listeners from the interviews, or are you usually already familiar with your guest's material prior to the interview?

H: Up to this point I have been familiar with almost everyone we have interviewed, just a few exceptions. This of course does not mean that I don't learn stuff and pick new things up. It's a real luxury to invite a guest to the program and nudge them in the direction that you want them to talk and speculate about.

F: I learn things constantly even though I'm familiar with most of the topics, and I hope I learn as much as any listener, my mind is still open.

From an audio perspective, Red Ice always sounds great. Did you have a lot of experience as a sound engineer before starting the show?

H: Both Fredrik and I have background as musicians, we have our own recording studio from where we do all our shows. Fredrik handles most of the audio technical stuff at this point and he does a great job at that! Many other "podcasts" and online radio shows out there frankly sounds really crappy sometimes, and one thing that we want to do is to have good quality on the recordings. It's another thing if you get a bad phone line, you're pretty much powerless about that - it has been working very well so far!

F: I've been playing, writing and recording music for about 15 years, so I recognise a microphone and a mixer when I see one.

What are some of your favorite or most memorable books that you've read on the occult, conspiracy, ancient civilizations, alternative history, etc.?

H: At this point I don't have time to get thru as many books in their entirety as I would like to. There are a lot of books on my "get to" list. Here are a few that I highly recommend: Michael Tsarion's "Atlantis, Alien Visitation & Genetic Manipulation",

A few reference resources that you simply must have close by is Manley Palmer Hall's "The Secret Teachings of all Ages", Brad & Sherry Steiger's "Conspiracies and Secret Societies the Complete Dossier" and Texe Marrs' "Codex Magica" is also really interesting to go thru.

F: I have read the Danish author Martinus 7 book series called "Livets Bog" (Life's Book, Title directly translated) www.martinus.dk this man has written a lot more and calls his collected work "The Third Testament" + Carl Johan Calleman - Solving the Greatest Mystery of Our time: The Mayan Calendar www.calleman.com we will have Carl back on the program soon.

I've noticed recently that both Alan Watt and Michael Tsarion have been "regular" guests on the show, which is awesome! How is it you choose researchers to be the regulars? Is it based on your impressions? Listener response? Both? Anything else?

H: We've gotten great feedback on the shows we've done with Tsarion, Watt and Moors. But mostly it depends on how broad they are in their research and what areas they are into. Tsarion, Watt and Moors are very different in their approach but they can all pretty much address anything and this rank really high in regards to "nomination" as a regular guest :)

F: All of the above, I'm very glad that Alan , Michael and now Christopher Moors are willing to come back and talk with us. I feel it's important to challenge my own views and ideas but at the same time follow the path, so to speak.

What is your understanding of 2012 and the end times prophecies associated with it?

H: Big Changes … I suspect it will only increase in the years ahead! This could be due to some rare cosmic alignment and we're about to line up with of the center of the Milky way or we are entering the photon belt and/or the precession cycle is taking us into the "Age of Aquarius" or it could simply be related to how the nature of creation plays out. It might simply be time for humanity to (again?) wake up and become more spiritually aware and at the same time move into areas of spiritual science and transcendent technology. The funny thing about this is that in these "end times" there seems to be one bunch of people waking up while the other bunch is falling asleep - to much stressed, over dosed with Drugs and TV - totally disconnected. But I guess this also could be seen as a sign that things are coming to a close - because in the long run - it's not sustainable behavior. We might very well be seeing some catastrophic events, such as earth changes or wars in the years ahead. But it's more about the inner world than the outer… and since the inner reflects outward - they are of course intimately connected.

F: "End Times" Simply means end of an age, this is nothing to be worried about it has happened before. and maybe we will find ourselves at "Times end" or the slowing down/speeding up of Time/Vibration experience. Is it the portal in to the 5th world (2+0+1+2)=5?. Carl Johan Calleman presents a very good argument for the possible energetically correct end date of October 28, 2011. I like to think of 2012 as if it has already happened, meaning that I have completed all spiritual preparations and started living now as I expect it to be then. It's important to look at the Mayan calendar system as more then just an end date, and more of a spiritual evolution calendar. I'm aware of the alignments and what have you, simply put I think it is going to be very interesting to be alive in the years ahead. Also, The Earth will not Explode…hi hi hi.

Do you engage in any esoteric, occult, or spiritual practices regularly (meditation, religious services, ceremonies, rituals, etc.)? If so, has it, and how has it, improved your understanding of the topics covered on Red Ice?

H: Nope. No religion, no rituals. I used to do a lot more meditation… at the time it helped me greatly to keep a perspective on things. At the moment for some reason I don't do at all as much meditation. I just try to be in the moment as much as I can all the time. I try to be aware and keep the mind quiet and keep away from stress. I guess that's also a form of meditation.

F: I do engage in meditation, prayer type communication but this is such a personal thing it's hard to explain. It definitely puts everything in perspective, meaning it helps me endlessly and releases any fear blocks.
