The Ascendency of the Scientific Dictatorship?!?!
It's about the philosophic origins and consequences of specific doctrines and modes of thought. The implications are quite profound, but I found it difficult to grasp. Maybe more familiarity with this type of material would be useful?
Eschatology has also been a belief shared, sometimes theorized, by philosophers. Saint Augustine has been one of the most famous eschatological thinkers, followed by Hegel's philosophy of history, and, some have argued Marxists – as a secular religion. Theodicy has gathered together most Enlightenment thinkers, among whom are Kant and Rousseau.
More recently, many involved in futures studies and transhumanism note the accelerating rate of scientific progress and anticipate a technological singularity in the 21st century that would profoundly and unpredictably change the course of human history. (via Wikipedia)
My current understanding is that the authors would argue that transhumanism and the belief in working towards a technological singularity are in fact luciferian doctrine, whether the promoters of these ideas are aware of it or not. As such, they surmise that it is inherently wrong. I find it interesting that they believe themselves, or their authority, able to simply denounce these concepts. Yet I find their arguments very compelling. I am left in a rather confused state regarding the whole topic so I want to learn more about it... to make up my own mind.
Red Ice recently featured an interview with one of the authors. Check it out here-- http://www.redicecreations.com/radio/2006/11nov/20061112.html
I'm curious to hear your reactions to it...

It's a basic tenet of fundamentalism - the technological is unnatural, the unnatural is not of God, and if a thing is not of God...the idea, to me, sounds like a cop-out, an easy way to say "Nothing to see here, move on, move on."

Always the best procedure. As Funkadelic so aptly said, "Think - it ain't illegal yet!"

Paul and Phillip Collins are a little bit difficult to grasp to the uninitiated conspiracy reader,( for easy to understand conspirital history go to 'savethemales.ca' ) their work is scholarly and very well researched, in Ascendancy of a Scientific Dictatorship they basically say and point out that thru out history, there has been a 'scientific dictatorship' i.e. hiarchy of official expositors of knowledge ( the knowable ) that is design to serves an elite aristochratic minority, wether religious induced ignorance in the Dark Ages or new technocracy that was given birth through a Masonic fostered British Royal Society -which sponsored Charles Darwin scientific inquiry trip to Galapagos Island- the point in his book is this in summary..... "only officially sanctioned expositors of the knowables should be believed... all other knowledge that contradicts is marginilized as extreme non-sensical."
I was looking for a simple explanation tying the global elite to technological realties.
If these guys want to convince the masses, they need to bring this down about 5 levels. If these guys just like hearing themselves speak and showing how "smart" they are, they shouldn't change a thing!
